Pay attention to lighting: When coloring an elephant, it’s important to consider the lighting in the scene. Where is the light source coming from? Is it natural or artificial? This will affect the shadow and highlight areas on the elephant’s body. Use lighter shades for areas that are hit by direct light and darker shades for areas that are in shadow.

Add texture: Elephants have rough, wrinkled skin, so it’s important to add texture to your coloring to make it more realistic. You can achieve this by using a variety of shading techniques, such as cross-hatching or stippling, to create the appearance of wrinkles and folds in the skin. You can also use a white gel pen or white colored pencil to add highlights and bring out the texture in the elephant’s skin.

The Elephant Adventure
Part 1
Meet Ellie and Eddie, two mischievous elephants who lived in the African savannah with their herd. Ellie was known for her big ears and Eddie for his long trunk. They were always causing trouble and their parents, Eliza and Elliot, were constantly trying to keep them out of trouble.
Part 2
One day, while the herd was taking a nap, Ellie and Eddie snuck away to explore the jungle. They came across a group of monkeys who were playing with coconuts. Ellie and Eddie wanted to join in on the fun, but they didn’t know how to climb trees. So, they used their trunks to swing from branch to branch and ended up making a mess of the monkey’s game.
Part 3
As they continued their adventure, Ellie and Eddie stumbled upon a watering hole. They were excited to take a dip and cool off, but they didn’t realize that it was the hippo’s territory. The hippos were not happy to see two elephants invading their space and chased them out of the watering hole, causing quite a commotion.
Part 4
Feeling defeated, Ellie and Eddie decided to head back to the herd. On their way, they came across a group of tourists on a safari. They were amazed by the elephants and started taking pictures. Ellie and Eddie, being the attention seekers that they were, started making silly poses and even managed to steal a hat from one of the tourists.
Part 5
When they finally returned to the herd, their parents scolded them for wandering off and causing chaos. But Ellie and Eddie couldn’t stop giggling as they recounted their adventure. Eliza and Elliot couldn’t stay mad at their adorable and mischievous kids for long and ended up joining in on the laughter. From that day on, Ellie and Eddie learned to listen to their parents and to always stick together in their elephant adventures.
