In the Gospel of John, Jesus speaks these words to his disciples at supper on the night before his death, after telling them he will be leaving. The next verse begins, "In my Father's house are many mansions."

Jesus is telling his friends not to be upset or afraid. They already trust God, and he asks them to trust him too. A child can hear it as: when you feel scared or sad, you can trust Jesus.

This is a gentle sheet for a child who is anxious about a move, a new school or a hospital stay. Soft colors and a calm, unhurried pace fit the words well. Some families tape the finished page near a bed so the verse is the last thing a child reads at night.
