About Psalm 56:3 Coloring Pages

Four free Psalm 56:3 coloring pages with the King James words in big hollow letters and a decorative frame. Two sheets are bold for young children, and two are finer for adults who color.

Psalm 56 is a psalm of David, and its heading says it comes from the time when the Philistines took him in Gath. Surrounded by enemies, David tells God plainly that he is afraid, and that he will trust him anyway.

“What time I am afraid” is an old way of saying “whenever I am afraid.” The verse teaches that being scared is normal, and that we can trust God right in the middle of it.

Since it is only ten words long, even small children can learn it in a few days. Try saying it before bedtime or a doctor’s visit. A colored sheet can hang by a child’s bed as a reminder near the nightlight, and warm, cozy colors like orange and soft yellow make it feel safe. It also suits a lesson on David’s life.
