Galatians 5:22-23 Coloring Pages

Four free Galatians 5:22-23 coloring pages with the King James words in big hollow letters inside a decorative frame. Two sheets use a bold style for kids, and two use a finer style for adults.

The apostle Paul wrote this in his letter to the churches of Galatia. Just before it he lists the wrong things that come from selfish living, and then he names the good things God's Spirit grows in a person, calling them the fruit of the Spirit.

The verse lists nine qualities: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. A few of the words are old: "longsuffering" means patience, "meekness" means a gentle, humble spirit, and "temperance" means self-control.

A popular idea is to color each of the nine words like a different fruit, such as red for an apple, purple for grapes and yellow for a banana. Teachers can also spread the verse over nine weeks, coloring one word each week and talking about what it looks like at home and school.
