About Proverbs 3:5-6 Coloring Pages

Four free Proverbs 3:5-6 coloring pages, each with the King James words in big hollow letters inside a decorative frame. Two sheets use a bold style with wide letters for younger kids, and two use a finer style for older children and adults who like detail.

The Book of Proverbs is a collection of wise sayings, and in chapter 3 a father speaks to his son, urging him to remember his teaching. These two verses sit in the middle of that advice.

In plain words, the verse says to trust God completely, even when we don't understand everything ourselves, and to remember him in whatever we do. "Thine own understanding" means our own way of figuring things out, and "direct thy paths" means God will show the way to go.

Because the verse talks about paths, children can color the frame like a winding road or a garden walk. It also works well as a memory verse in two halves: learn the first sentence one week and the second the next, coloring the matching words as they go.
