Psalm 91 Coloring Pages

Psalm 91, the best-known verses: four free coloring pages for verses 1, 2, 4 and 11, in the King James words. Each sheet shows the verse in large hollow letters inside a decorative frame, ready to color, with bold kids' frames and finer adult frames.

Psalm 91 is a psalm of trust and protection. Verse 1 speaks of resting "under the shadow of the Almighty." Verse 2 calls the LORD my refuge and my fortress. Verse 4 gives a gentle picture of God covering us with his feathers, like a bird sheltering its young under its wings. Verse 11 says he gives his angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways.

These four verses are a comfort for children who feel afraid at night, and for adults going through a worrying time. Color one together at bedtime, or hang verse 11 in a child's room. Grown-ups may like them for quiet time or a prayer journal, and the set makes a caring gift for someone who is ill or far from home.

For color, try soft feather browns and creams for verse 4, stone grays for the fortress, and pale gold or white for the angels.
