Hebrews 12:1 Coloring Pages

Four free Hebrews 12:1 coloring pages with the King James words in big hollow letters inside a decorative frame. Two are drawn boldly for kids, and two use finer lines for teens and adults.

The verse opens the twelfth chapter of the letter to the Hebrews. It comes right after chapter 11, which lists people of faith such as Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah and Moses. The writer calls them a great "cloud of witnesses."

"Compassed about" means surrounded, and to "beset" is to cling to and trip someone up. The verse pictures life as a long race: drop anything that slows you down, and keep running steadily, remembering the faithful people who ran before.

This one suits a sports team, a track meet or a youth group. Color the frame like a running track, in red with white lanes. Older kids might choose one person from chapter 11 and write that name on the back. The adult sheet is a good gift for a friend training for a race.
