In the Gospel of John, Jesus is at supper with his disciples on the night before he dies, telling them he is going to prepare a place for them. Thomas says they don't know the way, and this verse is Jesus's answer to him.

Jesus calls himself the way, the truth and the life. For a child, it means that if you want to know how to come to God the Father, Jesus is the one who shows the way and takes you there.

The three words "way," "truth" and "life" make a natural coloring plan: give each one its own color and talk about what each means while you color. In a Sunday-school class, you could tell the story of Thomas's question first, then hand out the sheets so the children color Jesus's answer.
