About John 1:29 Coloring Pages
Four free John 1:29 coloring pages with the King James words in big hollow letters inside a decorative frame. Two sheets are bold for young children, and two have finer detail for older kids and adults.
In the first chapter of the Gospel of John, John the Baptist is baptizing people by the Jordan River. The day after priests and Levites from Jerusalem come to ask who he is, he sees Jesus coming toward him and says these words.
"Behold" means "look." John is pointing people to Jesus and telling them that Jesus has come to take away the wrong things people do. "Seeth" and "saith" are old forms of "sees" and "says."
This sheet fits well in a lesson about John the Baptist. Children might color "Lamb of God" in soft creams and whites, or glue on a few cotton balls for a woolly look. Ask them to point to the word "Behold" and say what John wanted people to look at.
