About John 8:12 Coloring Pages
Four free John 8:12 coloring pages, each with the King James words in big hollow letters and a decorative frame. There are two bold sheets for kids and two finer ones for teens and adults.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus is teaching in the temple at Jerusalem when he says these words to the people gathered there. The Pharisees argue with him straight after.
Jesus calls himself “the light of the world.” Light helps you see where you are going, and he is saying that people who follow him won’t be lost in the dark.
This verse lends itself to color. Try gold or yellow for “light” and “life,” and a deep blue or purple for “darkness,” so the bright words stand out. For a Sunday-school lesson, color the sheets before an evening service or candlelight program and hang them near a window or lamp. In a dim room, a flashlight game also works: point the beam at one word at a time and have the children say the verse together.
