About Joshua 1:9 Coloring Pages

Four free Joshua 1:9 coloring pages with the King James words in big hollow letters inside a decorative frame. Two sheets are drawn in a bold style for kids and two in a finer style for adults.

In the book of Joshua, Moses has died and God speaks to Joshua, who must now lead the people of Israel across the Jordan River into the land God promised them. Three times in this first chapter God tells him to be strong and courageous.

Put simply, the verse says you don't have to be scared, because God goes with you wherever you go. The old word "dismayed" means losing heart or feeling discouraged, and "whithersoever thou goest" means wherever you go.

This is a good sheet for a child facing something new: the first day of school, a move to a new town, or a big test. A colored copy taped inside a lunchbox lid or a school folder keeps the words close. Bold reds and oranges suit the word "strong."
